The Vice President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea,
Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, will lead the Campaign for the Democratic Party
of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE) in his new role as director.
The Vice President is active in party matters, including
previous national campaigns for constitutional reforms. The Vice President
previously led efforts to increase government transparency, create a bicameral
legislature, limit presidential terms, and expand representational democracy in
Equatorial Guinea.
The resolution also appointed the Deputy National Director
for the First Campaign, and the Deputy National Director for the Second
Campaign, in charge of the Island Region.
In addition to his role as Director of Electoral Campaign
for the PDGE, the Vice President is also the Head of State Defense and
Security.
