Equatorial Guinea President Invited to China-Africa Forum, Set to Build Economic and Bilateral Ties

The President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, was invited by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the upcoming China-Africa Forum, which will be held in September.

 The President received the Ambassador in Malabo, during which time the Ambassador expressed the support of China to the Government of Equatorial Guinea in the defense of its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Equatorial Guinea and China enjoy strong bilateral ties, including in the sectors of economy, trade, defense, and health.

The Forum is focused on strengthening China-African relations and enhancing trade. The President, who has attended the Forum in past years, highlighted the strong cooperation between Equatorial Guinea and China, and noted new projects slated to begin in the coming year in order to further strengthen bilateral ties.
