Equatorial Guinea Strengthens Relations with Guinea Bissau

The President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, Aristides Gómes, and strengthened bilateral relations between the two countries.

The President was asked advice regarding the preparation and conducting of successful democratic presidential elections, which are upcoming in Guinea Bissau.

The President also discussed areas of mutual cooperation and the importance of shared Pan-African values.

Equatorial Guinea enjoys a strong relationship with Guinea Bissau. Equatorial Guinea is a proud member of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), of which Guinea Bissau is also a member.
